Just 2 miles from the iconic Tunnel of Trees and the sparkling shores of Lake Michigan, this updated 1970s home sits on 2 peaceful acres surrounded by mature maple trees—and directly across the road from the beautiful Good Hart Nature Preserve. With several other nature preserves just minutes away, this is the perfect base for outdoor lovers.
Inside, you'll find 3 cozy bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere bathed in natural light. The home features a sunken living room that adds character and a relaxed, conversational feel, while the space is thoughtfully decorated with vintage treasures, antiques, plants, stones, and driftwood—creating an earthy, soulful vibe that’s both nostalgic and grounding.
Two decks—one in the front and one in the back—offer ideal spots for morning coffee, evening drinks, or simply soaking in the sounds of nature. The spacious yard is perfect for guests traveling with outdoor gear and is large enough to accommodate trailers for side-by-sides, snowmobiles, or other equipment.
Outdoor adventure is at your doorstep: snowmobile and ORV trails are just down the road, and Emmet County Sportsmen’s Club (Emmet Clay Sports) is nearby for trap, skeet, and sporting clays. With two beautiful beaches and endless trails within a few miles, you’ll be perfectly positioned for both relaxation and exploration.
To make your stay easy and comfortable, the home is stocked with essentials including towels, fresh bedding, pots and pans, a coffeemaker with coffee and tea, air fryer, grill, laundry soap, shampoo, and body wash—so you can settle in without the extra packing.
A couple things to note: the washer and dryer are located in the basement, accessible by stairs. While families are welcome, the home is not specifically equipped for small children (no baby gates, playpens, or childproofing features), and the sunken living room may require a little extra awareness.
