The room and the bathroom were spacious, well designed and very clean. Lobby, restaurant/bar and coffee bar gave a constant lively but pleasant buzz and vibe to the place. The nearby 'De Pijp' with many good bars and restaurants was very handy, close to Carre theatre and Artis Zoo was very handy.
Breakfast was disappointing and below par. We had to wait for over 10 minutes for someone to get us seated. The food offered was mediocre: at first a rather small selection, scrambled eggs were obviously made long before serving, lukewarm at best, and compacted to a solid mass (everything you not want scrambled eggs to be), the rest of the food was ok but there was not much love to be discovered (examples: the in th elevator loudly announced pastries were only croissants and small pain au chocolate, I expected more, and the two types off cheese were run off the mill common pre sliced dutch cheeses without much tast. Breakfast was not worth the many by far, I'v e had much better breakfast for much less in other hotels.

The room is well decorated, comfy bed, loved the view of the park with the trees and the windows in the room were nice. They have snacks and a bottle of water in the fridge which is nice. Easy check-in and check-out.
Breakfast technically starts at 7 and it was delayed when I got there one day by 20 minutes, which delayed my day. The service in the restaurant is very slow. Room lights could be more configurable. Went to work at the coffee shop downstairs and it was closed in the afternoon for some reason. Just felt like the level of service isn't great.
