This was our second stay at Thyme Lodge 2BR with hot tub and sauna near Black Mountain — this time at the request of our daughter, who was celebrating her 11th birthday. 🎉
The lodge is absolutely wonderful — a perfect place to relax, unwind, and recharge. The bed is super comfortable, and everything you could possibly need is provided to make you feel right at home (only better!).
The view from the window is breathtaking, and the sound of the nearby stream adds a magical sense of peace. Whether you want to curl up with a book, soak in the hot tub, or head out to explore and conquer the nearby peaks — this is the perfect place for you.

The outdoor seat cushions seemed to have been left out and were quite wet, so unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy the comfortable outdoor seating. They were still damp, so I preferred not to bring them inside, even though I received a message saying they were in the front storage and ready to use.
It wasn’t really a problem — just a small hidden wish that there could be a way to walk down from the garden to the stream. That would be truly wonderful!

Day of arrival all information was provided on how to access the lodge, storage, and wifi, this making it a seamless process.
The lodge itself was fantastic, very private, super clean and in a great location with free parking. The deco is very pleasing with lots of added touches such as dressing gowns and cosy blankets. All towels, toiletries and basic supplies of tea and coffee were also provided.
Anyone looking for a relaxing stay here will not be disappointed.
The sauna comes with an additional charge which was slightly disappointing considering we paid almost £300 for the night.
The kitchen was well equipped however there was only a coffee machine and no kettle, we didn't realise there was a boiling hot water tap until we were about to leave so maybe some instructions would have highlighted this.
Overall we had a great night in what can only be described as a fantastic lodge, we would return In a heartbeat!!
