Very convenient for the town centre
Good character building inside and out
I had a single bed room which was cosy, lovely and warm, the en-suite was good and the bed very comfortable
The included breakfast was outstanding
The door to my room opened directly into one of the areas where customers were sitting, eating and drinking at tables which was a little strange. There was a window above my door which I couldn’t shut so you got all the pub noise in your room
There was a deep low noise all nice, like a boiler/heating system which literally throbbed my brain all night which gave me a headache

Breakfast was very good and very substantial. The bar area and restaurant were very pleasant, as was the room, and the building itself is characterful.
While housekeeping generally did a good job, for two days running, I didn't have any tea bags in my room
TV in the room was a bit old so I had to use my laptop for Netflix.

Loved the place - central, quirky, historic, really nice and good value. The room would benefit from another bedside light - it was rather dark, but not a real problem.

Ideal location for our needs.
Basic room with dust and cobwebs on the ceiling. Went to bed at approximately 2300 hours but woken up by noisy guests in other rooms who were talking loudly and swearing. This continued for at least 2 hours.
