Location is very central. The breakfast options were excellent.
Unfortunately I was there during the heatwave and with no Aircon the room was exceptional hot, even with a fan and the windows open

The Bear is a lovely pub that has plenty of seating a nice outside courtyard seating area serve food.

The bed although comfortable probably needs the mattress assessing.

Staff were excellent, very polite and really helpful, and the breakfast (scrambled eggs on toast) was very substantial - didn't eat again until the evening!
My room was dated, TV had sound but no picture, and the room smelt 'old'. Bed not very comfortable, and pillows too hard. But...it was very clean, can't fault that. Appreciate work is ongoing to improve facilities.
