Beautiful location pin Silver Lake and very close to great hiking. Lovely rustic cottages situated on a hill overlooking the lake. Pleasant lodge with fireplace.
Like everything else, things age. Kit Carson could use some freshening up but the place is charming as is.

45 min from Tahoe, Right on Silver lake, Right within the forest area. Parking is good, check in check out are fast

The location was absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. We had a lodge room with a balcony overlooking the lake. The staff was friendly and the grounds were clean.
The pictures of the rooms do not align with what you get. It would be better if this was explained better. The room is very small, and that's ok because the location isn't meant to spend your time in your room. Just would have appreciated a better explanation.
