Host / owner was friendly. Location was convenient to public transit and walkable areas. Room had fridge, microwave, and desk to work on. Bed was comfortable, including the pillows which were really flat which I usually hate. Shower had good pressure and was nice and hot. Room was compact and kinda dingy but not a in a bad way, in a "yup, this is what I expected based on what I paid" kinda way.
Wifi was basically unusable - about 8MB/s speed on my phone and my laptop could not connect at all. I had to tether off my phone. Surrounding area had many tents and unhoused people that were harmless but might some feel unsafe about the area.

The room was clean and had everything I needed for a short stay. The staff were friendly and check-in was quick. The location was convenient, with easy access to stores and restaurants nearby.

The. Room looked fine.
If you're thinking of having a family member or friend visit you, it is not allowed. No visitors, and I have never heard of such a thing, ever.
The co-owner or co-manager is fierce looking and uncommunicative. He actually lied and told me he h as "nothing to do with booking.com," when I asked about a refund. He had to know that's not true. He did not even try to assist me.
