Friendly staff and city center location. Very comfortable bed, we slept very good
Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing.
There was a constant unpleasant smell of mold and/or sewage in the room. The wardrobe was also surprisingly impractical – there were no shelves at all, so clothes could only be hung up. For two guests, only three hangers were provided, and even those were of extremely poor quality.
The breakfast was very poor quality. The eggs were badly overcooked, and if you wanted milk, you had to find it yourself in the fridge – without even knowing which carton was actually milk. The only fruit available was watermelon. When we came for breakfast at around 9:30, there was practically no food left, just a few leftovers.
The pool also raised serious safety concerns. You enter the pool using several tiled steps, and the tiles under the water are extremely slippery. Your feet literally slide when getting in and especially when trying to get out, which feels genuinely unsafe and creates an unnecessary risk of injury.
What surprised us the most, however, was the apparent lack of an emergency exit from the breakfast terrace on the 5th floor. We looked around but could not find any emergency stairs or alternative evacuation route – the only way down we could see was the elevator. Since elevators should not be used in case of fire, we were left wondering what guests are actually supposed to do in an emergency.
Perhaps the Albanian fire safety standard is to jump from the 5th floor straight into the pool :)
There is definitely a lot of room for improvement – from the quality and functionality of the rooms and breakfast to, most importantly, guest safety.
