What a fabulous stay!! Spending two days with Niso and her husband was an absolute joy. We could not understand each other, as her English is as basic as my Uzbek or Russian, but despite so, we managed to communicate perfectly well. She is funny, generous, lovely and a great host.
The room was large, spacious and with plenty of light. The area is very quiet (the odd donkey and some chicken, which is what you expect in rural areas).
Every morning breakfast was a feast. You get a "sweet soup" (I have no idea of the name, but it seems milk and some corn flour) with some fabulous jam, fruits, nuts and sweets (and green tea as we requested), all fresh and full of flavour. We also had dinner two nights and they adapted to our veggie needs, with great dishes (plov without meat adn cauliflower with potatoes). If you get extra meals, the charge (September 2026) is ten USD per meal/person (so that you can budget it). B'fast is included.
We had blankets and covers to protect us from the cold nights (was really nice temp) and we slept really well.
Overall we had two fabulous days in Gilan, which is a fantastic place to get lost and relax after the crazy cities full of tourists and buzzing with action.
We'd love to come back and spend time with Niso and her husband.
It was a fabulous stay.
Just note that,, although the shower is next to the room, the toilet is in a separate building (usual in the area) so bear that in mind especially to do "homework" before going to bed (otherwise you have to get dressed to go out). It's not a criticism, but a fact to bear in mind so that is not a surprise.

Very nice homestay with a warm and friendly family. Clean rooms, tasty homemade food, and a peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommended.
