This is the perfect art deco hotel to stay for a visit to Napier. It looks the part and is in a perfect location from which to explore. When you next visit Napier, stay here!

Excellent location. Very newly renovated units with high quality materials and furnishings.
Everything felt brand new.
This hotel had 2 major fails.
First SIGNAGE, No sign or number on the building. (See picture)
There was a A4 sized paper with maybe 24 point font on a door in an alley where Google told us the hotel should be. We missed it the first couple times we circled the building in our car.
Second PARKING
We were informed by the hotel clerk we had 2 options for parking:
A) park in the public parking lot
B) park in a private lot for $10, and the private lot was closer to the hotel.
After paying for the private parking, we were given vague instructions to find the lot we had paid for. We passed some public parking, then next to what we believed to be the private lot was another public lot with a sign that said, "Free parking on Saturdays and Sundays".(This was a Saturday.)
Since we were still unsure if we had the right private lot, we opted for the public lot, which was better lit and felt more secure.
Upon leaving the hotel the next morning around 8:30am there was no desk clerk or sign, so we just left our key at the reception area.
