Excellent 4-night stay at Hotel L’Illa, in a twin room. The staff were professional, welcoming and proactive. The room was clean, air-conditioned and very quiet, overlooking the courtyard. A lovely little bonus was the balcony ! The hotel is ideally located for exploring Tossa de Mar, with everything within easy walking distance. Definitely an address I’ll keep for a future stay in this city !

The property is very central, just a short walk away from shops, bus station and the beach. The owners were absolutely fabulous, very helpful with information on the local area. Our room had a small balcony which was great for people watching of an evening as we sat outside & played cards. Air conditioning was very good. Whole place was spotless. This really is the perfect place if you intend on being out exploring for most of the day (as we did, Tossa de Mar is an absolutely stunning place). Plenty of nearby places to have breakfast/dinner. There is a restaurant below the hotel that must be fantastic as every evening there were queues outside to get a table, it’s nothing to do with the hotel and doesn’t open until the evening, so we opted to eat in other establishments each evening, but by the looks of it, it’s probably worth a visit.
As people have said it is noisy, but that didn’t bother us as I always travel with ear plugs. It is the price you pay for the convenience of being so central. Also note (again this did not bother us but it might for some)

No glasses (there a bazaar in the rd down the side of the property that sells just about everything so we bought some plastic cups in there).

We had a great time staying here. The location is excellent, close to the beach and the shops, but quiet at night.
The simple room was spotless, with good air conditioning, a great shower and a balcony.
It would have been a bonus to have a fridge.

Location was the best
the room smells like cigarette and there is not staff at all in the mornings. we want to go early the front door was closed.
