The overall vibe was weird but cool. Having access to the unoccupied restaurant area, complete with Pool tables, was awesome! The Hoover Suite was spacious and enjoyable in spite of it's eclectic appearance. The Bike Cellar with Bike Wash was very appreciated for us bikers. Convenient to the C&O, however, a rather significant return climb for bikers. The Host and caretaker were helpful and accommodating.
A little confusing given all of the different levels, twists & turns. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean but the rest of the property was a little disheveled. There could be better communication at the entrance to the hotel.

The suite was clean, comfortable, and HUGE! The bed was incredibly comfortable and so was the living room furniture. Every room had plenty of space to put your luggage and spread out. The bathroom was nice and had plenty of towels. The whole hotel had a funky, Alice In Wonderland kind of vibe, but in a really good way. There were lots of books everywhere. A children's nook on the third floor for coloring and playing. There was a super nice tea and coffee beverage station on the second floor that I didn't get to use, but I will next time! They also had a place to store your bicycle and wash it if you want. There was also free use of the washing machine and dryer. Very much a great place to stay!
The whole building is a piece of Meyerdale's history and I hope the owners are able to make a go of it!
I definitely got my cardio in for the day going up to the third floor with all of our luggage.

Unique building and close to an easy diner. Comfortable beds and furniture. We didn’t bring bikes this time but they do provide an indoor place to park bikes which is great. The staff was welcoming and helpful.
Covid caused some of the amenities to be suspended and until they come back it feels a little half-used. I would love to see this property used to its full potential. It is so close!

Conveniently located. Nice amenities for washing bikes and clothes.
Very odd and unsettling decor and creepy lighting. The pictures online made this seem like a quaint fixed up old hotel. It’s not. It has a very eclectic and unusual taste. Almost feels like a haunted house. There’s nothing wrong with it and the owners were nice enough people. And I just think people should know they’re reserving an unusual experience not just a traditional room or hostile type accommodations.
