Great location (easily accessible especially with the free shuttle bus from yumoto station), loved the room and had a great time.
As a picky eater, I personally struggled with the menu, which is certainly not the hotel’s fault. However, everything I did try was very good. I would have appreciated being asked about my food preferences in advance, before the meals were prepared and served. This could have helped avoid so much food being left uneaten and potentially going to waste. I believe a little more flexibility or communication regarding guests’ dietary preferences would improve the dining experience.

Dinner and breakfast were fantastic. Room was clean. Loved the happy hour offerings (beer, soda and wine).
Location was a bit out of the way but walkable (not fun though in pouring rain). Was able to take the bus one time up the hill but had to walk down every time since no taxis were available.

our room was spacious and offered great sleeping quality for 2 adults + 2 kids
nice dining atmosphere, high chairs for kids available, we really enjoyed the dinner with free drinks and kids menu.
our family enjoyed the public onsen evening routine
occasional smell from waste water piping in our room.
Breakfast only Japanese menu, western and kids options could be improved.

Orginal look and feel but mattresses pretty hard. Rooms look good but were pretty noisy. Natural bathing was ok. Breakfast was below expectations… staff was nice
