The area seems to be one of the most up-and-coming in the Chicago area, close to the centre and dead easy to access via bus routes 65 and 66. It's not far to walk to the Blue Metro line either and if you get the Ventra app on your phone, for $5 a day you get unlimited use of the public transport system (apart from to and from O'Hare airport - I flew into Midway, so I was fine).
Nothing at all - everything in the apartment is easy to use, I didn't make best use of everything but the kitchen seems perfect for self catering if that is your choice.

Good location, overall layout of the space
The dishes in the cupboard were dirty, we didn't get enough towels, we could hear loud noises from neighbors due to poor sound insulation (despite listing calling this "quiet") some features of the remodel were unfinished (light fixtures), shower drain was clogged... we let the hosts/management know, but outside of a "thanks for letting us know" there was no true acknowledgement of these issues and the impact on our stay. Overall this was dissapointing.
