Good views but tiny and feels insecure

The location was good, and the view was nice

The whole experience is a bit creepy. We first had trouble finding the apartment given the entrance to the building is in a back alley. When I walked by there was a man staring at us for a good ten seconds then the light turned off and he disappeared. Then when we finally walked to the right floor the man across the hall came out and shouted at us - “it’s ten o’clock!”. We don’t realize we were supposed to check in at a specific time? Then there was a strong feeling of lack of security. The building door doesn’t lock; and the unit’s dead bolt isn’t working. Each bedroom has its own deadbolt so we ended up locking all our valuables into the bedrooms. The unit is exceptionally small with a small dining table, kitchenette and bathroom. We can see the owner tries to make it comfortable but the quality of the area, the building and the unit is subpar and make the price unjustifiable.

Beware—strangers have access to your apartment

Clean and well-stocked

Supposedly a “shared bathroom.” In reality, a stranger across the hall has a key to the apartment front door and has full access to the apartment. I was uncomfortable with the breach of contract and left. Very sketchy experience. Owner refused refund despite the breach.
