Breakfast was delicious, good quality ingredients and perfectly cooked. 10/10. £10 for full English. 👌
The mattress very soft, but comfortable.
We could not get onto the WiFi in the bedroom, with the info given. Although, too tired (due to hours travelling) to inform the Landlady/Lord.
My husband complained about the beer he had purchased, it wasn't right. The landlord (?) who I heard say, others are drinking it, with no complaints. So my husband purchased a different beer. I told my husband to take the bad pint back, as he doesn't usually give up. My husband knows is real ale, he is a member of C.A.M.R.A. and has been for years. He did get a replacement.
Although, the mattress was comfortable, but soft. I struggled to sleep, only because my husband tost and turned all night and woke me with every movement. I didn't complain because the mattress and husband could not be helped and my husband had a few hours drive home the next morning.

2026 summer hot, we ate all food &drink outside. The garden is large, family friendly. The staff are friendly too. I got a sense the new management are getting used to running the place, not a 5 star hotel, it's a 3 star. The price reflects this. The accommodation is good clean, away from the pub. It's quiet plus the bathrooms are all new, recently renovated. Saturday night the music was loud but ended at 9:30pm. Friday night was quiet all evening. Ample free parking. Good value, it's worth staying there.

The bed was very comfortable, room adequate
Didn’t look very inviting, my food was just ok but my husband enjoyed his, decided not to stay for breakfast
