About this house rental
This Downtown Nantucket home offers enchanting gathering space, inside & outside, right in the heart of town. Amazing entertaining & lounge spaces, lofty proportions & light filled interiors make it a wonderful space to pass the time, with no need to rush when everything is right at your doorstep. Enjoy the island with Ease. Large, lush back lawn in town with dining patio and lounge space for relaxing from sun up to sun down. Double parlor rooms offer wonderful space to pass the time and offer an authentic Nantucket experience in a true antique home. Peace & serenity in town. Outdoor shower provides extra bath, island style, in summer months. Kitchen with large walk in pantry and a back door leading to the large Garden - An entertainer's dream.
Meanwhile, the Monument on Main Street is a stone’s throw from the home, and Main Street offers one of the most scenic walks on Nantucket, right into the commercial downtown with all the shops and restaurants. The architecture as you stroll into town is astounding and a joy to walk to town and not have to worry about summer parking. There are two private spaces in the private driveway.
Back at the house, The Lawn & Garden of this Home backs up to the famous “Three Bricks” Mansions on Main Street, as well as the Thomas Macy House & Gardens Museum. The property is centered in a wonderful, historic nook of town, that offers the opportunity to tour amazing historic properties, right at your door step. Across the street, is the wonderful Nantucket Historic Association property “Greater Light”, and the “Fire Cart Museum”. The location offers the opportunity to completely relax, yet take in so much of the island, with so much right at your doorstep.
The bedrooms are laid out such that the first floor bedroom is a small queen, with a small but functional en suite. It is a very private bedroom bc it’s the only one on the first floor. The other 3 bedrooms are upstairs, and laid out in a way that offers flexibility.
The main stair leads to all bedrooms, but a secondary stair offers the option that the back King bedroom can be closed off to have its own private stair and big hallway and ensuite bath.
There is also a Front King bedroom and the Twin bedroom, both very comfortable spacious rooms. A Hall bath with spa shower is available for all.
That said, you can also *not* close off the Back King room, leaving both King rooms allowed to share the Large “primary” bathroom”.
It all depends on how families and friends like to share space, but this lay out leaves wonderful flexibility and options.

Perfect for our family of 5. Didn’t need a car. Walk to town for food/groceries and rented bikes to get to beaches.
