The Space:
Nordhaus is a beautifully built 7-bedroom, 7-bathroom retreat located just three blocks from 1st Street Beach in beautiful South Haven. Thoughtfully designed for families and groups, the home combines spacious gathering areas with high-end finishes throughout, including high ceilings, solid bamboo hardwood floors, cherry and walnut cabinetry, and marble floors and tile in the bathrooms. The expansive kitchen features a large center island, making it the perfect place to gather, cook, and entertain.
The main home features 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, while the attached 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom suite has its own private entrance through the two-car garage. The suite can be completely separated from the main home with two doors, providing exceptional privacy and sound separation for families or groups traveling together.
Each bedroom features private ensuite bathrooms with heated marble flooring and Bluetooth speakers. The upper-level bedrooms also each offer private balconies, creating peaceful spaces to enjoy the surrounding nature.
Outside, enjoy a large private yard, spacious patio, and hot tub - perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach, exploring downtown South Haven, or enjoying time with family and friends. This was a beautiful home inside and out. Lots of amenities for a large group. Hot tub was the perfect temp, the fire pit was great (wood was available) and the kitchen has everything we needed. We loved having a bathroom in each bedroom. A group of 10 we loved the ability to have two to each room. The laundry room did have some soap available which was great since we had to do some laundry. Nice propertyThe negative:beds were not comfortable at all. The beds were hard as a rock, the futons were more comfortable but still hard. There was not any extra bedding or pillows. The towels were very thin and not very large. There were only 3 towels and washcloths to each bedroom. It would have been nice to have a few extra so we could not have to have done laundry. Things that would have been nice to know before booking: There are LOTS of cameras around the property that record with movement. Not sure if we were being watched by the owners or not and how private any of our conversations were. There was even a camera out by the fire pit. This is a security thing I’m sure but it’s not really known how many. The Host lives on the property above the garage and the third floor. We were told they would be gone for the weekend but someone was back by Sunday. This did NOT change our weekend plans or affect us in anyway, just would have been nice to have been disclosed. Rules: I’m sure it is for keeping the property looking nice and or insurance purposes but there are lots of rules.

Our family group of 9 adults loved our stay! The home is beautiful and was exactly as pictured. The host met us shortly after arrival and check-in was a breeze. The home was immaculate with many details personally handcrafted by the host. The modern kitchen is spacious and included all the appliances and amenities needed to enjoy an extended stay. The dining table accommodated up to 10, which allowed us all to eat meals together. The beds were plenty firm, but each bedroom had its own bathroom, which was a definite plus! Some family members are making plans for a return visit to the home in the future with their own children. The home and it’s location are definitely 5 stars and we highly recommend it.

It was a wonderful stay! The house was awesome and so huge and very clean! We stayed with our family, friends and seven children. The garden is amazing for kids. We all loved the hot tub and the short walk to the beautiful beach! We would love to stay there again! Thank you Sylwester for being such a perfect host!

Immaculate and spacious home. Stayed 4 nights with 4 siblings and spouses. Loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Accommodations and area were ideal for our quick adult gathering Thank you for a wonderful stay.
