Having come from Colombo, we wanted to get away from the busy city, and this villa in Kandy was perfect. It is a very calm and peaceful place. You can hear the gentle sound of a small stream, and there are lots of green trees all around. It made all our travel stress go away right away.
The villa is a short drive from the Kandy city centre. The drive itself was very nice. We went through the beautiful, green grounds of the University of Peradeniya and the quiet countryside. This was great for me because I had a seminar to go to at the university.
Inside, the villa is lovely. It really feels like a home away from home and has everything you need. It was the perfect place to relax and rest. We had such a good time that we have already decided to come back and stay for a much longer visit.

Our Little Slice of Paradise Near Kandy
My wife and I were on the lookout for a private escape during our tour of the cultural triangle, and wow, did we hit the jackpot with Villa Brookdale! Tucked away in a peaceful village just a short drive from the hustle and bustle of Kandy, this place is an absolute gem.
We booked their King room, and honestly, it was love at first sight. The balcony overlooking the babbling brook and lush green garden was pure magic. We spent a lovely evening there, drinks in hand, watching a family of playful monkeys across the bank—it felt like our own little nature documentary!
Since we had the villa all to ourselves, it was wonderfully serene. And our host, Prasantha, was an absolute star—so attentive and genuinely caring, making sure we had everything we needed. The kitchen was so well-equipped that we felt right at home, whipping up our own dinner and breakfast just the way we like it.
If you’re looking for a quiet, intimate, and comfortable hideaway to recharge after a busy travel schedule, this is the place. Villa Brookdale was the perfect reset button for us!
