Set on the main floor of a historic building in the heart of downtown Reykjavík, this three-bedroom apartment brings together the character of the original property and a complete, recently finished renovation. The windows look out over the Pond, the rooftops of the old town and across to Harpa Concert Hall — a view that places the city's restaurants, galleries and waterfront within a few minutes' walk of the front door.
The defining feature is the layout. Each of the three bedrooms has its own private ensuite bathroom, a configuration rarely found in Reykjavík. It makes the apartment particularly well suited to two or three couples travelling together, to multigenerational families, and to colleagues who want privacy without booking separate accommodation.
The living room is generous and light, intended as the space where the group comes together at the end of the day. The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances and everything required for morning coffee or a full dinner at home. Throughout the apartment, the renovation has preserved the proportions and detail of the original building while the finishes, fittings and appliances are entirely new. WiFi is fast and reliable throughout, suitable for guests who need to work during their stay.
Access is by electronic keypad, so guests arrive on their own schedule without coordinating a key handover. The apartment is located on the main floor of the building. Paid street parking is available on the surrounding streets.
The location is as central as Reykjavík allows. The Flybus stop at The Pond (stop no. 2) is very close to the building, making the transfer from Keflavík International Airport straightforward on arrival and departure. Tjörnin, the National Gallery, the Parliament building, Laugavegur and the old harbour are all within walking distance.
