Nestled among towering evergreens, The Alpenglow Cabin is a cozy retreat just 7 min from Mount Rainier National Park. Tucked into a peaceful, wooded backyard, you'll enjoy the sounds of a nearby creek and the privacy of a forest setting, all while being conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood. Alpenglow comfortably sleeps up to four guests and whether you're exploring MRNP or enjoying a staycation, The Alpenglow Cabin is the perfect place to unwind.
The space
Perfect for couples, small families, or friends, the cabin comfortably sleeps up to four guests with one private king bedroom and a pullout sofa in the living room. Thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing getaway, it's an ideal home base for hiking, skiing, sightseeing, or simply slowing down and enjoying the mountains.
After a day of adventure, soak in the private hot tub, gather around the fire pit under the stars, or recharge your electric vehicle at the on-site EV charger so you're ready for the next day's adventures.
Located in Ashford's Paradise Estates community, The Alpenglow Cabin offers the perfect balance of convenience and seclusion. While the cabin is part of a quiet mountain neighborhood, its forested setting and the soothing sounds of a nearby creek create a peaceful retreat that feels worlds away. Guests can also enjoy Paradise Estates' community amenities, including scenic walking trails, lakes, parks, picnic areas, and playgrounds—all just minutes from the entrance to Mount Rainier National Park.
Guest access
You'll have access to the entire cabin and property during your stay.
Other things to note
Snow: In the winter, you may encounter snow so please be prepared. AWD and/or tire chains are recommended but not required. Our driveway is short, though can be icy. We try and keep it plowed as often as we can, but there may be times that you'll need to drive in snow and ice (weather dependent).
Power Outages: Every once in a while the power goes out in Ashford during a heavy winter storm. Note that the hot tub, well water, electric heat and WIFI all require electricity :)
Cell phone service: Cell phone service is generally OK at the cabin. We do have wifi that works well as well!
Events: Our home is not suitable for events. All guests should be listed on your reservation, please let us know if you are expecting anyone.
Pets: If coordinated in advance, pets are allowed! A few quick rules:
- Please keep your pups on-leash while outside. As you can see, we do not have a fully fenced yard.
- Please pickup after your dog while outside so our next guests have a clean yard.
- Please no dogs on the furniture.
