There is helpful signage throughout the property with simple instructions and friendly reminders. These are in place to help ensure a smooth, enjoyable stay for everyone, based on common questions and past guest experiences.
Please note there is no public garbage service. garbage must be disposed of by you prior to check out at a local dump facility.
A Rental Agreement must be e-signed within 48 hours of creating your booking.
A Security Deposit hold of $200 will be held on guest credit card prior to arrival and released after departure pending no damages.

Overall an excellent stay. As advertised, however my only complaint is that the photos need to be updated. The cottage is no longer tan, but green which is a little confusing when finding the house. The oven is now electric, no longer gas, which I had chosen the property because it was one of the few that had a gas stove in the pictures (I am a big cook). But a very nice place and the sauna and hot tub were great, as well. The next door neighbor was a very friendly guy , as well, which was a nice surprise. Oh and bring your own knives if you’re cooking a lot. I tried to find a knife sharpener at the local store to contribute to the cottage but ended up buying a new knife instead.

We stayed here for a 2-night anniversary getaway and overall had a great weekend. The view was beautiful, and the sauna and hot tub were fantastic amenities. The property has a lot of potential.
There were a few things future guests should know. The biggest concern was that nowhere before arrival were we told the tap water is untreated lake water and should be boiled before drinking. We only learned this after checking in, and this should be clearly communicated.
The listing photos didn’t fully reflect the current property, and the kitchen knives and frying pans could use updating. The bed was also quite springy and uncomfortable.
New sod had been laid, so the neighbour came by morning and evening to run sprinklers. He was friendly and asked first, but it reduced our privacy. A contractor was also on the property during our stay without prior notice, which we felt should have been communicated.
The checkout expectations seemed excessive considering a cleaning fee is charged, especially the requirement to wash and put away dishes and remove all garbage to avoid extra fees.
Finally, the waterfront security camera appeared to face toward the hot tub area, raising privacy concerns.
Despite these issues, we still enjoyed our anniversary weekend. With better communication and a few updates, this could be an exceptional cottage rental.
