About this cottage rental
Located a quarter mile from the pristine waters of Higgins Lake, our Wild Honeybee Haven sits on a private lot with State Forest land right across the street, offering hiking/cross-country skiing trails.
Our road-end public access offers a small beach area, dock, picnic table, and boat launch capable of accommodating craft up to 14' ( Canoes, Kayaks, SUPs, Sunfish Sailboats, Jet Skis, and small Fishing Boats) *road end offers 6 parallel parking spots / or a 15-minute walk from the cottage.
A larger launch is located just a mile north on Maplehurst, and we are located between the North and South State Parks on the East side of the lake.
After spending the day enjoying beautiful Higgins Lake, guests spend their evenings enjoying our large backyard full of relaxing amenities. A propane grill with a side burner, along with outdoor seating and a shade umbrella on our deck, is perfect for outdoor meals & relaxing. Guests can relax on our sun chairs and hammock before heading to the bonfire for s'mores and a game of Corn Hole.
Roku TV is provided so guests can sign in to Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Disney, etc. Bring your PlayStation & XBOX gaming systems to plug in.
Electric Vehicle? - We do have an outdoor electric box capable of connecting to your portable converting charger. * Rate of charge will vary based on length of stay
Although we cannot legally state that we are an ADA property, our home is ranch-level with no indoor steps (other than to get into the Tub/Shower).
We do have a 6' long wheelchair/walker ramp that can be utilized to gain entry to the side deck and front door (38' entrance at front door). * Pictures of the ramp in use are included within our listing, and it is available for all guests at no additional charge.
Our home is a wonderful place to bring your family and friends to make amazing memories at Higgins Lake any time of the year.
