About this house rental
A place to enjoy the Mediterranean at a leisurely pace
SolyMar is a cozy ground-floor home with a private entrance off a quiet pedestrian street in Playa Lisa, Santa Pola. It’s located just a few steps from the sea and surrounded by everything you need to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay, whether for a vacation or for several weeks.
The home is part of a small complex with only 16 residents and features a communal pool. Being on the first floor and having a separate entrance, it offers a pleasant sense of privacy and the feel of a small Mediterranean home.
Outdoor Space to Enjoy
One of SolyMar’s greatest attractions is its spacious private outdoor areas, totaling approximately 60 m².
You enter through a small access terrace, and a few steps lead up to the main terrace. The home is also partially surrounded by an outdoor area featuring a convenient outdoor shower—perfect for cooling off after returning from the beach.
It’s a space designed for enjoying a quiet breakfast, reading, sunbathing, having a meal outdoors, or simply relaxing after a walk.
The main living area is entirely on one level.
It features a sofa area with a TV, a built-in kitchen, two bedrooms, and a half-bath. At the rear, there is a spacious, glass-enclosed dining porch of approximately 12 m², which provides a very pleasant and practical additional space, as well as housing the laundry area with a washer and dryer.
The home also provides access to a spacious private basement of approximately 45–50 m². It is a very versatile room, equipped with two comfortable reclining sofas, a flat-screen TV, and a large table that seats eight people.
This space can be used as a play area, for family gatherings, to relax while watching a movie, as a workspace, or simply as extra space when traveling with family or friends.
The ocean is just a few steps from the house.
From SolyMar, it’s about 200 meters to the shore.
The location allows you to enjoy Santa Pola with virtually no need to use a car. In the surrounding area, you’ll find supermarkets, bakeries, coffee shops, restaurants, takeout spots, and small neighborhood shops.
It’s an area where you can live peacefully, yet without feeling isolated: everything you need for daily life is right at your fingertips.
Walks along the Mediterranean
One of the best things about the location is being able to step out of your home and start walking.
Following the coast eastward from Santa Pola, you can walk to the Yacht Club in a few minutes and continue along the coastline, enjoying the views of the bay.
Heading toward the Santa Pola Lighthouse, there are pleasant walking and biking trails. Depending on the route, you can take walks of several kilometers until you reach the lighthouse area and its lookout points.
From there, on clear days, the views over the bay of Santa Pola and Alicante are spectacular, with Tabarca Island off the coast and, in the distance, even the silhouette of the Peñón de Benidorm.
In the other direction are the beaches of Tamarit and the natural areas near El Pinet, where you can also enjoy long walks along the sea.
Nature, Salt Flats, and Biking
Just a few minutes from the home are the Santa Pola Salt Flats, a natural area that’s especially great for walking, biking, and birdwatching. Depending on the season, you can watch the arrival of the flamingos that choose this area to spend the winter.
There are various trails and observation points from which you can watch migratory birds and enjoy a landscape very different from that of the urban areas along the coast.
Santa Pola is also a very pleasant place to explore by bike, with easy routes both along the coast and through the natural areas and the surroundings of the lighthouse.
A great base for exploring the Costa Blanca
Santa Pola is much more than just a beach destination. Its location allows you to enjoy the sea, nature, the local cuisine, and the everyday life of an authentic Mediterranean town.
It’s also a great base for exploring other parts of the Costa Blanca and going on day trips during your stay.
To feel right at home
SolyMar is specially designed for those looking for more than just a short stay: a place where you can relax, take walks, enjoy the weather, and experience Santa Pola at a leisurely pace.
Plus, we live very close to the house and will be happy to help you during your stay whenever you need us. We speak Spanish, English, German, and Italian.
Where can I rent an electric bike? Is there a laundry service? Where can I get a good pizza? Or a paella? What wine tours and tastings are available nearby? These are the kinds of questions our guests ask us, and we’re always happy to help.
SolyMar is, above all, a place to enjoy the Mediterranean at a leisurely pace and in an authentic way.
