Breakfast was great, however, one day we needed to take a grab and go bag, and the variety in the bag was only fair.
When I booked the hotel, I was unable connect directly to that location. I was coming for an eye surgery appointment in the area, and learned after I’d booked, that a discount was offered for patients.i

The location
The receptionist in our checkin was helpful
The room smelled bad , beddings were old and overly used. The heat in the room was excessive. The breakfast was poor selection.

Unprofessional behavior by the receptionist.
Overall, this hotel deserves a 7.5 as an hotel in Canada. However, I'm only giving it 5 because of the bad altitude from the receptionist, Adam, who tried hard to prevent us from getting a room, claiming the hotel was fully booked. Even after I showed him the availability on Booking.com, he told me not to try to book, as Booking.com is just a third party entity and doesn't guarantee a room which I proved he is wrong and I got my room. I reported the incident to the morning receptionist, who apologized for his behavior and promised to inform management.
