The location of the hotel was ideal for me as I wanted to be close to the action of Old Montreal but on a quiet street. The bus station was not far away but I needed an Uber for the long hill going up to the hotel. Nice young woman upon arrival was pleasant and informative and showed me how the elevator worked. Breakfast offerings were very good and I liked the opportunity to cook my own meal; I even prepared dinner from the Italian goodies I purchased at Marche Jean Talon.
The room itself was interesting utilizing space efficiently was key in the design-kind of a Murphy bed from the ceiling situation. Not sure what other guests do but I just had the bed down the whole time. Saying that, there was no bed end tables to place my nighttime items down on, so I had to use the mini fridge for that. Difficult getting in and out of the bed.
All in all, I recommend Hotel AtypiQ for anyone that doesn’t mind a room of tight spaces.
The bed was too high off the ground so I basically launched myself into and out of it.

The location was great. Breakfast had enough options, although offering yoghurt without sugar would have been appreciated.
Room extremely small.

The location was perfect.
Persistent motor noise issue. I was assigned a 2nd-floor room (starting with 1) and heard a heavy vibrating noise (likely a water pump) every 10 minutes, running 24 hours a day. It woke me up constantly, and I had a terrible first night. The staff was helpful and changed my room when I complained, but unfortunately, the same vibration could still be heard on the other side of the property. I had no choice but to try and get used to the sound.
