The location was amazing, and I think for a different type of traveller, the vibe and culture of the facility is great. The room was quiet, and things were very accessible (for example, I needed water and a fork, and there was full access to a kitchen with all the things I needed). Water pressure was good, climate control was fine, there was some space to spread out and get comfy. I appreciated the space to leave my suitcase before checkin and after checkout. Staff were helpful. I appreciated staying in a place backed by a company, rather than some of the independent places I was seeing at similar price points. Overall, I would certainly consider staying again in the future.
I will say that I think for what it is, the room was overpriced. I understand it's close to downtown, but the facilities were old and in need of some maintenance, and there were no luxuries. The bed was not comfortable, the mattress was thin and lumpy, and there were two thin pillows. The space for toiletries in the bathroom was adequate, but tight. It was clean-ish, but not immaculate. The most uncomfortable thing in my room was the window: it faced right on to the bus station, and at one point I tried to open the curtain and was face to face with a tour bus. It made it impossible to leave the curtains open, which was unfortunate. The free breakfast was not good, and I think the hours are too early for people who are on vacation. I would say the hostel is a good value compared to airbnbs in the area, but it's no frills, for sure.

Nice guests around. Located in a not good street but quite near downtown. Low price.
The reception lady was almost rude, didn’t say “hi”, nor “welcome”, she just said “check in is at 3pm”.
Dorm very small, barely clean, bathroom not clean.
