I will say, the robes, the products by Le Labo, and spa, were the best part of the experience.
We came back to the Fairmont after 8 years and the hotel is drastically changed - not for the better, I'm afraid. What used to be an old-time allure is now transformed into a generic modern bar-like space that is not child friendly. The huge buffet, that had once surprised and delighted us, is now stripped to a bare minimum. It had honestly been why we came back. The breakfast at the restaurant was a la carte and mediocre. I had a very frustrating time with my waiters because I asked them to bring my teabag out of my tea, so I could decide how much water to add, and they misunderstood me twice. So I didn't have tea. All in all, it was way worse than my experience at the airport Marriot. It was disappointing.
I hated not being able to speak to someone at the lobby too. It's fine if you have automation for some things, but terribly frustrating for most. What a hotel should provide is a sense of care and connection, not robotifying and decreased quality.

What I did not realy like was the overall smell( old carpets, especially in the mezzanine corridor and old backgroud cigarette smell, as well as the smell of mold in the bathroom after a shower.
I loved the luxory of marble, the wonderful smell of the soap, the feather pillows, the comfort of the matress was the best! Thanks!

Location is amazing, always love the atmosphere of a fairmont property.
The amenities such as restaurants and lounges aren’t near as good as other fairmont properties. You only have the option of one location and when we were there it was fully booked with outside guests so we couldn’t use the amenities. We were shocked to know that they do not leave seating for their hotel guests.
