i would recomend this hotel for anyone, the location was excellent for attending a hockey game.

everything was very clen and comfortable

the bed was a little too soft for our comfort but overall it was ok, it would have been nice to have a nice duvet. The one thing that i diddnt care for was the pay parking, i did not like having to pay for the parking, but the parking was easy to find and access especially with physical disability.

Just an amazing stay and such a short walk to and from the concert venue

Because we went to a concert at GM Place, Sandman is the Best location to be at. Room as always is comfortable. Loved the remodeled Pool area! It was much needed.

Very unexpected. Not valued. Staff not so friendly, we checked in at 2pm, staff told us 4pm got rooms, ok. But 4:40pm still not no room for us. Absolutely will not book next time.

Very helpful staff and a good bar attached to the hotel

The hotel is being renovated and I understand there will be disruption but, although my room was clean all the public area carpets were very dirty, including the corridor to the room

TERRIBLE CEHCK INN AFTER 4 PM, PRICE SUPER EXPENSIVE AND ROOM WITH NO OUTLETS AND STAINS ON TUB

this is a place with only a average hotel with walls, doors and even tub with stain or cracks and the way it looks they are offering the cheapest of everything even the toilet paper was just a quarter of roll and the most cheap, only 2 bars of soap for 2 nights and 2 people in the room. ALSO A DISASTROUS CHECK IN, AFTER 4.30 PM MY KEY WAS GIVING TO ME WITH ALMOST 60 PEOPLE WAITING IN THE LOBBY BEAUSE THEY MAKE 4 PM CHECK IN THE ROOMS WERE READY FROM 1 PM BUT THE PURPOSE FROM THE MANAGER BASED ON COMMENTS ? SAVE MONEY IN ELECTRICITY AND WATER, THATS A SUPER EXSPENSIVE PLACE LOOKING TO SAVE A PENNY the price??? ....more than 300 hundred American us dollars per night,

PRICE SO EXPENSIVE FOR SO SIMPLE ROOM WITH STAINS ON TUB, WALLS WITH CRACKS, DOORS WITH CRACKS AND A THE AC NOISY AND NO OUTLETS ON THE ROOM EXCEPT IF YOU DISCONNECT THE TV , THE LITTLE FRIDGE OR THE LAMP TO SUE POWER TO CHARGE YOUR PHONE. LOOK LIKE THE MANAGER SO CHEAP THAT SPEND NOTHINSG AND CHARGE LIKE A 5 STARS SUPER HOTEL MORE THAN $ US 300 PER NIGHT BESIDES THAT CHECK IN AFTER 4 PM CAN YOU BELEIVE IT? ALMOST 4,30 PM I WAS OPENING MY ROOM AFTER WAIT FOR HORUS ON THE LOBBLYWITH MAYBE 50 MORE PEOPLE WAITING.

Very clean , the renovated rooms are excellent. Great staff.

The hotel works for me as it allows me to have a longer walk to and from where I am working. I am in Vancouver every other week for work. I was hoping I would get in the renovated area but I usually get a room in the old space. The cleaning staff always keep the room in great condition for me.

We were put in a "newly renovated" room on a floor under deep construction that obviously hadn't been inspected. The coffee pot was missing - all coffee service was. The room was nice, but the lock didn't work, so we asked to move. This was discovered at 11 pm. We were put in a much lesser room at 11:30 pm. We were not offered anything for our troubles, and when we asked for a comp for needing to love, we were told it was a sold out night, so they could offer us nothing, which basically means "we don't have to negotiate when busy. " We were given a $100 room voucher. The staff was nice, but I feel like if we pay over $500 for a room, you should make us feel like we matter, rather than making us feel like we shouldn't complain about problems.

For a last minute booking, it exceeded expectations.

The location was clean. The staff was friendly, efficient and professional. Although the hotel was fully booked, there was hardly any wait for elevators and crowding wasn't an issue in the public spaces.

There was television noise coming from the room next door at 6am. There was a hooker in the alley outside our room screaming at her customer in the middle of the night.

We were attending a concert at Rogers Arena and the location is within walking distance.

Hotels have become way overpriced! Over $500 a night for a 3 star.

Disappointing

Location was great.

Hotel was dirty and under construction, which started right above the room quite early. Hotel smelled musty, and the ceilings were covered in dust webs.

Pleasant

The Sandman is being renovated VERY SLOWLY. The exterior is covered in scaffolding and it's very hard to find. Our room was very small but adequate. The bathroom towel bar had been remounted but the old screw holes were pried outward and sharp. Elevator directories have not been updated to reflect the renovations. These are small things but they add up. Or down.

I liked the quiet room and king sized bed. It helped me to relax and feel safe at the same time.
