My stay at the don valley hotel was magnificent

Was my first stay and it was a great stay it was spacious clean and comfortable..we all enjoyed staying there and will surely be coming back the don valley is and will be our first choice as long as we are staying in Toronto, once these service doesn’t change thank you don valley.

There was only 2 elevator working so there was a lot of people waiting and the only elevator takes a While luckily was on the third floor…but after a exhausting day I wouldn’t like climbing stairs. But otherwise everything was exceptionally

Exactly what we needed

Wife wife and I booked Don Valley after flying out for a wedding and loved every minute. The room was perfectly sized and had everything we needed. The pool was just what we needed after having days out and about.

Certain areas of the hotel could have done with a bit of TLC

Disappointing

Location was great

The hallways and elevator lobbies on each floor were dirty. I realize this is an old building and in sorry need of an expensive renovation and regular daily maintenance is expensive, but as a guest for the price paid this was disappointing.

Just say no

Balcony, heated floors in bathroom

No hot tub, only one power outlet in room, poor pillow quality, towels rough not soft, people smoking pot right outside main entrance so it smelled like skunk as soon as you exit. Saunas in change rooms making quality couple time in those impossible, parking was insufficient and confusing

we enjoyed our room and the space but overall an iffy experience

the heated floor in the washroom, the bed was comfortable, the room was spacious.

there was very mixed communication from the staff, confusion about checking in, there was some water damage happening while we were there (significant odour), and we noticed some ceiling damage in our room

Location was good . Bistro bar was excellent

Room seemed to be worn and in need of paint. Had to pay for parking Someone had a dog barked all night.

You get what you pay for

The staff were friendly.

Tv was working off and on. The toilet was flushing slowly Beds were hard and 1 small pillow. No parking. Old decor.

Nice room

The room was nice, bed was comfy and hotel was quiet. Heated floor in the bathroom was nice too.

The sliding door was very dirty in the room. The heater was broken in the pool so it was freezing. Went to try the sauna in the women's changeroom and there was a band aid on the seat. Was not aware I had to pay extra for parking.

not the best experience, but maybe just an off day

we’ve stayed at Toronto Don Valley several times. It’s a very convenient location and the price is right.

This time we were given a room on the first floor. The hall smelled of cigarettes and the room was like an ice box! We turned up the heater and it eventually warmed up. Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean, but we almost felt like we were in a different hotel than previous visits.

dated rooms , expensive for what it is

hotel should really be a motel .. dated decor with peeling wallpaper, no duvet covers on the duvets, dated ac which is noisy, no fridge or safe heated bathroom floors which is about the only + for this property , parking is ample and $11 a day, location is great , shame about the stay & the fact I have a charge on my card they can’t explain and I have to wait 14 days for it to be refunded by my bank :(

Liked the room and the location of the property.

There were some very noisy guests above us that kept us awake. Made several complaints to the front desk but no real resolution was made. The bathtub could also use some upgrading, looked very old and worn.

It not worth 250 dollar the night.

Its in the city

There was a giant bug in my bayhroom The carpets were not clean. I stayed in many 3 and 2 star hotels across canada for this price by far one of the worst rooms. Not even a mini fridge in the room for 250 dollar a night. People who work there were great but hotel is outdated old and rooms are not great
