The hotel has a very good location if you need to go for tourism or the main business area of Chicago. The breakfast is very simple and typical of other American hotels, however, for a Hilton, I expected more.
The need to use two different elevators to get to the room. First you go from the main entrance to the lobby, then you walk and get a second elevator to the room area. A bit strange.

Pros: location !! the hotel is centrally located to many walkable neighborhoods for children. I loved that it’s across the street from Whole Foods, so I could pick up snacks and water for my daughters.
Con: I did not like the $25 that they charge you per day to be used at the hotel, regardless if you do not use it.

Location was excellent, facility was good
Although the location was excellent and facility good, there was an additional daily fee the hotel specified as part of check-in - an additional daily $25 "destination charge." I don't recall the notification up-front (I might have missed it), as part of the online registration. At actual check-in, they claimed the online registration process specified it (perhaps, but I don't recall it) and that they would apply/refund the $25 daily if I used their in-house restaurant, pub, dry-cleaning, etc. I tried their restaurant once but didn't feel the cost (including the prepaid $25 credit) was worth it. I simply forfeited the remaining days' refunds. The charge seemed "slid in" at the last minute, and left a sour taste in my mouth. It might be an "industry practice", not sure, but we won't be returning to this particular hotel, and I'll be on the lookout for the practice for future bookings with other hotels now. (The practice might be legal, but the "fine print" aspect of it simply seems slight-of-hand.)
