The property was clean but needs updating. The courtyard was cute

I am angry that I had to pay $60 more than I was quoted through Booking .com and the lady at the front desk couldn’t care less. I even had the confirmation for the stay with the total amount including taxes and fees and she said there is nothing she could do about it.

My room was never cleaned. When requested service to clean the room, we were told we had to schedule that with the front desk. So we did. The next day, they still did not clean the room. We were told they forget to put our request on the cleaning list. We had to go seeking clean towels every day we were there (Friday-Monday). Sunday afternoon while napping, the maid opened the door without knocking and immediately left when she realized I was there. The side entry/exit was never vacuumed. The trash on the carpet was very unsightly. I suggested they explain their cleaning policy to customers at check in or post it in the room. They did apologize for the lack of service and removed the charges for the last night.

They didn’t tell me there was breakfast in the morning when I checked in, so I missed out on that

People that were in the pool before us were dirty. They threw their garbage in the pool.

Quiet, peaceful location with comfortable beds and clean rooms. Not for those without a car.

The location is beautiful and very peaceful. The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and the beds comfortable.

Location challenging if you don't have transport as it is not within walking distance to any external facilities such as shops or restaurants. The bar was closed due to "issues" and there wasn't any food being served on 4th July - understandable, but then difficult if you didn't have transportation. The ice vending machine wasn't working and the availability of drinks to buy in the lobby shop was poor. The hotel room was very dimly lit.

Front Desk Leslie was a super star- so helpful

Nice long pool and inside courtyard space. Outdoor ponds and trails, other nature areas nearby. Close to O’Hare (but no shuttle). Restaurant was good.

Frigid cool- we ran the heat in our room to balance the hotel’s AC. Window did not open on ground floor.

Hotel desperately needs an upgrade

The hotel is not maintained, smelly, sheets are ripped. Don't be fooled by the good reviews. It's not worth the money and certainly not Double Tree worthy

Superb

The room could accommodate our family of 5. The staff was super nice and location was good. Easy to get to downtown and to things outside of the city too. Everything is at least 30 min away, no matter where you stay I feel.

That the breakfast was an additional cost but wasn't told until we woke up to go get it in the morning by the signage. Honestly though not everyone in my family enjoys breakfast so it worked out better and we just went to the nearest Starbucks. So I guess it actually saved us money.

This hotel was okay for the price but needs some improvement. Staff was great.

The property was in a safe area. Beds were comfortable.

The hotel was fairly dirty and outdated. Ants were in our beds but they were quickly able to move us.
