Best Western Inn at Penticton

Good location, great facilities, great breakfast

Getting older so some signs of wear and tear starting to show

Friendly front desk staff, easy checkin and checkout process. Great walkable location to Skaha beach and easy access onto main road to access shopping or Lake Okanagan. Comfortable bed and good air conditioning in room, small bar fridge included. Indoor and outdoor pools, BBQ’s and picnic tables in yard by pool! Free parking for each unit, but vehicle tampering and theft was a concern. “Free” breakfast included

We had a few minor issues during our stay. When we checked in, there was only one pool towel in our room, and the Keurig coffee machine wasn't working. Guests are advised they'll be charged $25 for any missing towels at checkout, so we reported both issues to the front desk. They replaced the coffee machine that day, and delivered two pool towels by the end of the next day, which we appreciated. Our room was just outside a children's playground, which was quite noisy during the day and offered little privacy for guests staying on the lower level. At check-in, we were told our room would be serviced after the second day. However, during our four-night stay, we didn't receive any housekeeping service, fresh towels, or a change of sheets. Two pools are nice, although they mostly were mostly full of children, great for families but not so good for couples. Breakfast is included but that experience isn’t the best. Food was either gone, or slow to replace and in such small batches that all waiting guests didn’t get some. This reoccurred each day, we tried different times to see if we could have an actual breakfast, but food choices were always gone and or slim picking each day. Very limited seating as well with no room for guests to sit, many took their loaded plates to their rooms. Hotel staff seemed to have a difficult time keeping up with the demand on items like bacon, eggs or sausage, and there was zero monitoring on how much guests (and children) take. One concerning incident, although it didn't affect us directly, was that another guest told us they had an expensive bike rack stolen (bolted to vehicle) overnight. While it's difficult to say whether that's the hotel's responsibility, it did raise some concerns about security in this area.

Property was well looked after

Property was a bit older, but well maintained, was hindered by construction. Air-conditioning was working overtime did cool down enough. Really enjoyed the suite and all that it had to offer.

Check in was smooth.

Its 2026 and there are only a few available outlets. Room and decor is definitely outdated. Breakfast is good but the breakfast area is cramped. I tried to tell the worker that there was a problem with the juice dispenser, she raises her voices and tells me she us the only worker? The layout of the food area had a bunch of ppl waiting in a lo g lineup to get food.clearly not enough seating and tables. I took my breakfast downstairs to thee busi ess centre. This property needs a makeover to the 21st century! I dont understand how the best western has their brand on this property. Im sure there are cheaper motels in the area that have better features on their property. Bed was comfy and room was clean. Not likely I will book this property again.
