Won’t stay again because a decent bed is a must.

Excellent location and very clean

Bed was terrible. Mattress should have been replaced long ago. First breakfast included moldy buns. Breakfast second day was excellent. We had time between our commitments to while away and there were no comfy chairs in our room to sit and read in nor a surface to play a game.

Charming people, a beautiful house, and great location - I would be happy to say again.

The owners / staff were exceptionally accommodating. I arrived more than 2 hours before check-in time, but they shifted my room to a king room from the queen room I had booked, with no change in price. The Inn is a converted house, and the room was in the basement, but it was still very comfortable, and very clean. The bathroom had also been newly renovated. The breakfast was a little different in being a prepared plate left in the fridge, but was still very tasty (2 boiled eggs, yogurt, and a large cake-like roll). It is clear that the owners try to make their guests as comfortable as possible.

It was fine because I got the really nice room and I was just staying for a short overnight.

I booked the Queen room, which was fine for just spending one night (as I was), but it was nothing more than a bed and a bathroom, very little room other than the bed. So it was VERY nice that the owner gave me the King suite when the original person didn't show up. And that room was amazing!

The place is listed as a B&B and the owner said breakfast would be at 8 a.m. When I came down for breakfast, the house was completely dark, nothing available in the kitchen and a gentleman (I assumed the owner's husband) was sleeping on a couch in the next room with the TV on. It was very awkward ;) So I went out for coffee and breakfast at a close place that was very good.

Wonderful hosts, great hospitality and perfect location

Such a welcoming stay by the hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The room and facilities were very clean and comfortable. Our breakfasts were really nice with plentiful fruit and on our final morning our host surprised us with a lovely omelette and pastry. The location was perfect for getting into town, walking by the river. We loved it! Thank you for your warm hospitality and we hope to return some day

Kitchee & not at all worth it

Breakfast was bad. Asked if we had any restrictions - i said I was lactose intolerant, he made us cheese omelettes with buttered toast. I told him I couldn’t eat it and asked for boiled eggs instead - they said no.

Tub was dirty from last guest. We had to clean it ourselves to use it. No decaf available. Huge language barrier, host didn’t understand English well. Mattress was overly soft. Stains on carpet.

Very good

Location is excellent -- walking distance from a great region of restaurants, riverside, and downtown. The windows open creating a kind of cross-breeze. Owners are very friendly and helpful.

Property is clean but a bit tired. Memory foam mattress is not my first choice, as I find they are hot for sleeping. This is surely personal preference.

Disappointment

good Wi-Fi, washing machine and dryer available if you wish to do your laundry by yourself.

- distance from downtown is about 3 km. either you walk or pay a taxi. there’re no restaurants or coffee shops or grocery stores near the premises. - there’s no room service. it’s not a hotel. Actually, you are renting a room. - there’s noone to assist you 24 hours. The employee who lives in the premises is not always there if you need assistance. You remain alone in the house. - the House Key door I was given was not working. when I got there on the second day I rang the bell 3 times (stayed at the porch for about 15 minutes waiting). The employee was there but I guess he was busy and couldn’t answer immediately.

Comfortable stay, beautiful house, convenient location.

Friendly hosts, lovely view from the window, right on Memorial Dr, so very convenient transportation. Bed was very comfortable. The house itself is gorgeous, big spaces, beautiful light, and custom woodwork everywhere.

The lovely location is also the downside to this room, since there is a little road noise, but not much at night.

I was a little surprised it was a "guest house" and not a full hotel, so not what I expected, but it was a very nice place, well laid out, spacious, well built and detailed, so in that sense it did exceed my expectations. I'd be happy to stay again. Owners were kind and very nice, so great overall!!!

Bed was good. Balcony was nice.

Should not be listed as a hotel is more like an airbnb or bed and breakfast. Falsely advertised is a home being lived in poor soundproofing. Hosts were not super accommodating price was not nearly good for the value. I truly thought I was staying in a hotel and I wasn't. Especially not a four-star hotel. Ask for breakfast at 10:00 a.m. got it at 9:40 a.m. small TV could have been more clean.

We had a lot of fun.

The tub and the shower were excellent. It was also great how they left chocolates for us as per my request. Kim and John were great hosts. Breakfast was good.
