Breakfast was good. Location was great.
Staff was not accommodating as we were told by a staff member by phone that we had joining rooms and we did not . They did not try to make changes or even apologize for the mix up. All they needed to do was apologize and say unfortunately they could not change it rather then try to find out who to blame for the mix up. Also the outside sitting area needs a lot of work - picnic tables are peeling so that you could not sit on them without getting dirty and the chairs should be thrown out as they are fraying and dangerous to sit on.

We were on a road trip and needed a place to break our drive from Cape Breton to Massachusetts. The Granite Town Hotel was a great place to rest for one night. The staff was friendly and check-in was easy. Comfortable room and beds. We got ice cream at the local dairy bar (within walking distance) after dinner, and in the morning, breakfast at the hotel was quick and filling. We'd stay again!
Would be nice to have a fitness room and pool!
