The location was good - South of the airport, off the 401 near the 403 exchange, in a quiet, well-kept industrial area. Being south of the airport, I'm sure it isn't the first choice of travelers, and that is why the price was lower than places just north, to the east and west of the airport's main entrance. Although planes flew nearby, the soundproofing in the room was excellent. Restaurants were about a 10-minute walk / 2-minute drive away. Check-in and check-out were smooth. I reserved a seat on one of the morning shuttles at check-in, and thanks to the help of the young lady at check-out, I was able to change the time in the morning to a later shuttle when morning prep took longer than expected. A special shout-out to Arsh, the male staff member who checked me in - he offered to get me cigarettes because it was obvious that I could not do that on my own without an expensive taxi or other means; there were no convenience stores nearby. Free parking. Indoor pool, exercise room. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The heating/cooling controls were on the wall and responded reasonably quickly to adjustments. Because of my broken leg and reliance on crutches, I got a handicapped room, and it was great to have a walk-in shower with a bench and removable shower head, with grab bars throughout the bathroom. The wet tiles were a little treacherous, so be careful! The breakfast was a buffet and OK - eggs, bacon, a variety of bread that could be toasted, apples, bananas, yogurt, drinks, and coffee. The wait staff helped me because it was difficult to carry a plate while using crutches. Paper plates and wooden cutlery were all disposable. There is a smoking area with benches and an ashtray outside. The shuttle driver was courteous and efficient, helped with everyone's luggage, and helped me get on and off. I didn't time the trip to the airport, but it was about 5 km away and took maybe 8-10 minutes.

I wish the water pressure had been stronger in the shower - it took a long time to get the hair products out of my hair, which made me a little late for my original shuttle reservation. Also, the body soap dispenser was empty! I'm sure that doesn't happen often. Amenities were limited - I would have appreciated a razor and toothbrush with toothpaste. One wall by the window had been bashed in and was patched and painted, but there was no real repair. Although the room was clean, the decor looked a little worn and dated in places. These issues were minor and didn't affect my stay.

When we had a concern it was addressed immediately by staff.

The smell in the room was not great. I believe it was the carpet. It was evident staff had cleaned, but there was a smell that is old.
