Location was great, lots of restaurants near by that were walking distance. The room and bathroom was spacious, clean, modern.

Pool was a bit small and cold. Breakfast was meh

Lack of lighting in the kitchenette area. Temperature of food on breakfast bar.

Housekeeping and breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. Facilities were consistent with a well-run Best Western, which is to say comfortable and well-maintained. Breakfast was good. No issues with the room. Small pool and hot tub but the sauna was nice and hot. Good location near amenities and restaurants.

FALSE ADVERTISING. NO STEAM ROOM. The Booking.com website says there is a hot tub, sauna and steam room. I chose it over another nearby, less expensive hotel with a hot tub and sauna specifically for the steam room. I even sent a message at the time of booking asking the hotel to confirm the sauna, hot tub AND steam room on booking and they replied in the affirmative. We were on a bike tour with sore muscles so this was an important consideration. When I later inquired at the front desk about the lack of steam room, the attendant insisted a steam room is the same as a dry sauna. I explained the difference, and then she said it must be some other hotel's website that I booked on. (Not sure how they got my reservation if I booked with a different hotel.) I then asked if she could see that the advertising gets fixed and she said she couldn't as it's all Booking.com's fault, and the hotel has no control over what Booking.com puts on the website for the hotel. This seemed absurd to me -- why would Booking.com falsify a hotel's facilities???-- but I asked her if she could let the person responsible for the Booking.com page know. She just stared at me and said it's the weekend. So I then explained that this is not an urgent issue, but I'm just asking for some assurance that the false advertising will be fixed so no other guests will be misled, and during the week is fine. She just continued to stare at me. I suggested perhaps she could let her manager know? She said "Of course" but with a look on her face that said she had no intention of bringing it to anybody's attention. So here I am, letting anybody who is in charge at Best Western Plus in Fort Saskatchewan know that you don't actually have a steam room and should remove it from your Booking.com website at your earliest convenience. Thank you!
