Close to walk up Signal Hill, easy to get street parking, within 15 minute walk of The Rooms and downtown restaurants and bars, friendly atmosphere amongst the guests, and very friendly, entertaining, and helpful host.

The property was centrally located for exploring St. John’s. The park across the street was wonderful for a late evening stroll. Breakfast had all that you could want for a good start to the day and there was always a friendly staff member to greet you in the morning.
Admittedly, it was quite hot while we were visiting, which I’m sure is not normal, but our room the first night was sweltering. We did appreciate the fan delivery for night 2!

I had a few questions for the owners and they were very patient with me - even though the questions were already answered in emails and materials in the room - I was tired from travelling and they were very gracious. Location was wonderful and the house was very pretty.
Plug in bathroom too close to mirror so we could not put in a night light. The step up into the bathroom cause a few issues at night so nightlight would be helpful.

Breakfast was basic and sufficient with options of juices, coffee, tea, boiled eggs, cheese packets, baked goods, yogurts, cereals and fruits.
The location offers an outdoor deck and garden for guests to enjoy.
We would have liked to know that our room was located on the third floor of this historic building (Petty Harbour room). The request for mobility issues came only a day or so before we left for our trip. At that point it was too late to change accommodation.
The floors and drapes in our room were not clean and the windows need attention to open easily. There is no air conditioning so you need to open your window to get air and keep outdoor noise out.
For those who have problems with steps, the washroom in the room has a step up for entry and the toilet is too close to a slanted dormer wall where you can easily hit your head when rising from the toilet.
