Great value for money

The staff were excellent. The hotel is very Victorian but also very clean. No noise issues for us.

The reception area and bar need a major update. WiFi was erratic.

Location is really good

Outside pipes where really noisy, but we asked to change our room when we arrived and it was allowed fortunately.

The room was nice and big with lots of space. It was lovely and clean. The breakfast, although only continental was great and there was free coffee available in the foyer at all times.

The hotel was a bit of a walk from the main area of San Francisco and uphill alot of the way. With a stroller and child it made it a bit more difficult but we managed!

Not worth the value; the place needs a complete do-up.

They give you bathrobes on top of the usual towels which is nice.

Lighting of the room was terrible - very badly lit. The whole place smelled really bad, like very cheap cleaning supplies and it really stinks up the whole reception and even the rooms. The sink is very poorly engineered as the faucet does not come out enough to be able to wash hands properly. Windows were very old and were kind of stuck and in any case it would be impossible to keep them open as our room faced right above the exhaustion chimney of an elderly home’s kitchen and we would get all their fumes. Breakfast totally underwhelming, with very few options.

Very good

We truly LOVED that the hotel had real plates and cutlery, as we have experienced more plastic/paper in other hotels. Still, the butter, jam and spreads could have been offered fresh rather than plastic packaging. We were happy about our standard room, the bed was comfortable. The facilities of the room were satisfying, service was nice.

Our door to the bathroom were a bit difficult to close/open, but we managed. Other than that, only downside I could think about was the jam/butter single use packaging rather than served in a 'jar' (as we are now very much used to in Europe due to sustainable development), but apart from that all was good. :)

The staff were awesome! The location was great!

The hotel has a charming old city feel. Most of the artwork is original from way back.

The lights were too dim. Water in shower was barely strong enough to rinse out my hair.

Clean, & basic in good location but awful breakfast

Helpful staff on reception, especially Vinod. Very clean room. Changed the sheets after 1 night. Nice towels. Good location.

Small beds and very uncomfortable. Noisy air con unit. Awful breakfast. A real shame as the dining room has so much potential. 1 toaster for all the guests and really cheap nasty yogurts and packet waffles.

The Hotel Majestic is a wonderful hotel, friendly service, decent decorated rooms and very clean. the location is also quite good, transportation and good restaurants are near. Definitely a great hotel to stay.

a good indeed IL place to have a relaxing and resulting San Francisco experience stay

beautiful Victorina property that exudes charm. our king suite was a true suite

nothing. but do be aware this is San Francisco so the rooms at the Majestic have no AC (and it is not needed).

breakfast was terrible, coffee was just lukewarm, bar closed early at 9.30pm on Friday night and again on Saturday night !
