I keep seeing people saying the hotel is "old". I would call it historic. It has some very grand woodwork that is beautiful! The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was surprisingly good! Many choices and well stocked. Amanda at the front desk was so sweet and accommodating when we arrived from out of town early and then our room key wasn't working. She offered many times to let her know if there was anything we needed. I also like that the front desk is manned 24 hours a day by people who were very friendly and willing to help!
The windows have lost their seal in many rooms and it's nearly impossible to see outside. Some window replacements would go a long way.

The suite was a cool setup, with two floors. The bed was INCREDIBLY COMFORTABLE, rivaling a certain "heavenly" bed advertised by another hotel chain.
The carpet in our suite was very outdated, stained, and every time I crossed the room, my ankles and feet were tangled in hair. It was very off-putting. Our upstairs TV had no signal, so watching had to be done downstairs. The breakfast was less impressive than most chain hotels. The elevator was very slow, and the stairs didn't allow for access to all the floors.

We were greeted warmly by Amanda (staff member) who was engaging and welcoming. When we needed assistance from the facilities staff, they arrived immediately and were kind and professional. We were staying with extended family, and the breakfast area accommodated all of us and was comfortable and had seats for everyone.
