Quiet and clean, close to the airport and had a shuttle, had a nice bar area and breakfast station.

TownePlace Suites exceeded my expectations in every category. From the shuttle pickup at the airport to checkin to the room to breakfast to location to checkout, everything was top notch! The staff were very friendly and they went out of their way to help you. The room was very comfortable with every amenity, including a very handy kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, coffeemaker, and dishwasher. The beds were very comfortable, as was the sitting chair, as was working on my laptop at the desk. The lobby was spotless and comfortable, and the back deck with the grill and seating overlooking the lake... all of it was very nice, very welcoming, and very relaxing. Oh, and just off the lobby was a local map with expanding circles showing how far things were so you knew whether it was walking distance or driving distance. They really thought of every amenity a guest could need and had them in place before you knew you needed it! All of this adds up to the best value for a hotel in the Portland area.
There is practically nothing that needed improvement.

The breakfast is always nice so I do not have look for a place to eat breakfast.
Having the luggage carts makes things easier to get from car to room.
Being able to fix a meal in the room was nice so I did not have to search for a nrestaurant.
The only thing that was off was that the shower did not have any grab bars. That may not sound bad but it does help when
you are older(78)

Bed was comfortable
Clarion room designers: closet had shelves under hanging rack so one couldn’t hang a dress or a pair of pants, light and vent in bathroom on motion sensor so one couldn’t use bathroom without disturbing others in room, lights from microwave in kitchen aimed at bed
