I went here with my family, who are into spas. They stayed in the fancier hotel near the hot springs. I just wanted to relax from a long road trip, and this place was perfect. However, it was a l0+ minute walk to their fancy hotel. I am in good shape for a 74-year-old, and the flowers along the route made it even nicer. I loved the flowers at this family-run hotel most of all. I was told one of the aunts keeps all the flowers so lovely.
Everything was delightful; they even had wintermint Lifesavers at the check-in table, and a nice bench outside that provided a perfect spot to wait for my family to show up.

Sweet little chalet-style hotel built in the shadow of red mountain. Walking distance to downtown, iron mountain hot springs, and amtrak. Clean and cozy room. Excellent free breakfast.

The location in town was fantastic. Easy walking access to Glenwood Caverns Amusement Park and a large bike path. Not too long of a drive to the Main Street/Downtown/Glenwood pool areas. Filling, simple breakfast included. Plenty of parking on site, no additional fees for parking. No pets.
Our room had minor repair issues that could be addressed- tub plug missing. And the sofa was not terribly comfortable. Due to the room layout, the TV was best viewed from the uncomfortable sofa.
