Not worth the high cost and wouldn’t recommend

The location was right by the pier and restaurants

The price for a simple room is very expensive and I was disappointed to see we were not in the main building but the annex which is much less to be desired. The room was rather dirty with stains and a large amount of dead bugs in the tub. Very disappointing as I used to love to stay at the sandcastle and looked forward to experiencing the refurbishment

No worth that price only but the beach

So so, only one is good for closing the beach

No microwave, AC doesn’t cold enough, no balcony , no bathtub, couldn’t be late for a while

You can not beat the location of this property. it is beautiful and the outside area is very nice.

The older man at the front desk was rude and he didn’t need to be. We stayed at the second building, not the main building. which I think should have been made aware prior to booking. While the room was fine it wasn’t very clean. the bathroom was kinda gross, there was spider webs in the main room on the ceiling. It makes it hard to go get food from the main hotel when you have to walk across a parking lot and in our cause it was raining. and with young kids it’s out of the question. when your spending almost $300 night I expect way better.

Room above us had lots of little kids so tons of noise into our room all hours of the day and night. People with little kids should be on 1st floor. Also no continental breakfast.

all the staff was super friendly and the deck was nice area for family to hang out and stay warm by the fire

location was great, the rooms are modern and clean

bathroom was small and you could see repair work has been done on many areas in bathroom and not repaired well. you could see the damage that paint just can’t cover up

The best 3 night stay at the Sandcastle Hotel !!!

The Front Desk staff Richard , Janice, & Valerie really care about their guests !!! Richard had suggested a $ 16.00 upgrade to a beautiful room # 305 and my wife and I were very pleased. And Carlin { Restaurant Manager} was very helpful. This morning I met James Davison { General Manager} and we had a great conversation about our wonderful stay at the Sandcastle Hotel..Will be staying at this hotel next year in 2024 !!! Mike & Debra Virgin- La Habra , Ca.The best 3 night stay

Not sure I will return here.

The fact of you being on the separate building makes you feel inferior. Had to walk to the main building in the rain to the second floor. Just to get ice.

Sandcastle was nice and good enough but I would probably choose a different place next visit.

The location is perfect and in walking distance of the pier and food. There is a beautiful outdoor area with fire pits and ocean views to relax by. Staff was friendly.

Complimentary coffee would have been nice but you have to pay for all drinks and food. No free breakfast here. Our room had areas that were dated and not 100% clean. On the 2nd day we also had loud neighbors.

no fridge only a wine chiller, the bed was uncomfortable, no microwave, only one chair for the table, mattress was actually sagging, advertised a hot tub and there was none.

Exceptional

Love that it's on the beach close to all the shops.Love the sitting area where you can eat and drink by a cozy fire and look out to the beach or sun sets.

Great location and staff, clean, and a spacious room. The mattress was too old and soft, I could feel the springs.

All in all a nice bang for the Buck. I shall return!

The patio setup is exceptional with fire pits and very nice kitchen mostly snack menu.

Perhaps you can upgrade the beds which were hard and a bit lumpy.

It was a recharge vacation up the coast. We never used the car after we parked it on arrival. The staff was fun, helpful

Everything was wonderful! it’s was quite, close to town and walkable to everything

I really couldn’t find anything I didn’t like, but there was no ice machine on the first floor, but that wasn’t really bad as the view from the second floor was spectacular.

Disappointing

Location is nice.

Dirty bed sheets, pillows had hair from previous stay. Stayed on the first floor and there was laundry carts on he hallway day and night. Was charged $20 por parking and was never told until checkout of the additional fee.

Love the hotel but maid staff were very loud early and inconsiderate

Loved the partial ocean view king room with balcony! Great views of the boardwalk, beach, ocean and pier! Two minutes from room to beach sand! Sound of waves at room!

Room was 2 doors down from maid station and they were very loud for hours starting at approx. 7:45am so forget sleeping after that. Loved the place and complain to staff after first morning and same thing happened next morning, maids talking very loud and at times yelling down the aisles to each other from in front of our door! Horrible! Left unhappy and sleep deprieved!
