Staff was polite and welcoming, very accommodating as I had accidentally booked smoking but preferred non-smoking room. This is a quaint little motor lodge straight out of the 50s, right down to the physical key on a diamond shaped keychain just like I remembered as a kid. What we loved best was that even though it was right on a busy street with a school right across the road it was quite quiet. We felt safe and appreciated that it was affordable. Great location for us after our evening at the Hollywood Bowl, less than 30 minutes away. The entire room was clean and had that freshly cleaned smell to it as we entered.

Our room could have used a few updates for example the shower curtain had mold or stains midway down, the tub while functional could use a resurfacing of new enamel or replacement all together as it looked like it was original to the property. The bathroom door, doorframe and medicine cabinet could use a little touch up paint due to chips where there was exposed wood, but nothing that would make me not stay there again. I do wish the mattress was a tad bit softer (personal preference really) as the pressure points on my hips would get sore but again not any thing that would keep me from staying again, I just rolled over and was good for a few more hours of sleep. Overall these are all minor things really, I have stayed in name brand hotels and paid more per night for rooms that were no where as nice as this place, maybe bigger but not as nice. Just remember you are in a Motel and as motels go, one of the better ones out there in my opinion.

The bed was comfortable. The room was really clean. The staff was friendly.

The internet service was really bad.the AC didn't work too well and was really noisy.

Nicely kept place, friendly staff, all rooms have fridge and microwave.

Rooms are quite small. The carwash next dot is a lot on the noisy side and sucks water pressure out of the showers. The AC blows directly on you, no outlet near computer table. Strange.. in opinion over priced.

Overall, it is a no frills, safe place to stay and budget friendly.

Location is great walkable to Trader Joe's across the street and restaurants in the area. The owner is very accommodating on requests. Rooms are clean but very basic and could use a refresh. Overall, it is a no frills, safe place to stay and budget friendly. I have stayed here 2x.

Great environment in every way. So enjoyed the peace and comfort.

- Breakfast was included but was not served (COVID-19 excuse sounds weird since all cafes and restaurants are opened around and other hotels provide breakfasts ) - Strong smell of some cleaning liquid or air-freshener in a room (no idea what was that - unpleasant memories) - No wardrobe and no table in the room - Lack of space in the room in general - No coffee maker

It was comfortable, clean and had a good price and I'd stay again.

It was 2 blocks from my dad's auto repair in the 1970s. I walked from here and visited several friends. The bed seemed too firm, but my back felt great in the morning, so 100%. I really liked the low price. Bathroom was vintage but cute and the shower head was high like I like it because I'm 6'1".

I would have liked somewhere to place open suitcase besides the bed (folding rack?) An upgraded door lock would be desirable, and a working latch on bathroom window would have been nice.
