The garden is very pleasant, the hot tub was clean and functional, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was excellent, and there was plenty of parking.
Dominique and her staff made us feel really comfortable, and we appreciated the effort to maintain such a cozy and charming inn.
Our initial room had a couple of issues - the A/C did not work very well, and the bath tub faucet was unable to be shut off properly. This resulted in our room needing to be changed, but our other room was excellent and had none of these issues. Dominique was very understanding, and it seemed like the issue was more with the prior handyman saying the faucet was fixed when it really had not been.

Very shaded, tranquil and garden like setting in the heart of residential Santa Barbara . Our room had a private hot tub and court yard which added to the resort like feel. Our host Dominque was very attentive and a sweet , friendly lady. Her morning breakfasts were delicious and classy ….
The little was unit AC didn’t work so well and w/ the mid day sun beating down on the cottage you need some cooling. Parking is provided but don’t drive a large vehicle, it’s tight .

Location to downtown and quiet residential area. Breakfast brought to the room each morning. Hot tub availability.
The cottage was basically simple. Spartan. Mattress was extremely soft, felt like it had been there forever. Couldn't open drapes to let in light as the room backed up to both the alley and the parking lot, zero privacy. We were there for rest and relaxation and the alley noise and parking lot activities were irritating. The hot tub on the enclosed patio was a perk, except the water quality was cloudy, lacking maintenance attention. The breakfast brought to the room was a perk, but the menu was exactly the same two mornings in a row. One needed to really enjoy spinach quiche twice. One morning the croissants didn't come with butter or jam. The second morning they did, again uneven attention to details. The plush bathrobes offered were quite damp upon our arrival. They were replaced with dry ones, but again...uncertain if the damp ones were clean but not yet dry, OR the damp ones hadn't yet been replaced from prior renter. Again, lack of attention to details. The wifi signal was intermittent and weak due to our room being the farthest away from the router in the main house, making wifi unusable in our room. For over $400 a night paid, the general run- down quality of the rental left a bad taste. I've rented this Bed & Breakfast 3 times in the past without any unpleasant experiences. I expected more from our 4th stay.
