We've stayed here many times over the years, great old school back up to your door motel.
Tuscola is an amazing train town, the reason we come here, bonus there's a cool bar right down the main street you can walk to & beyond that a 10-15 minute walk to downtown area closer then the other hotels
The only drawback really the rooms are on the small side, 2 bed rooms cramped, but you got TV, mini-fridge & microwave, etc

Check-in associate was friendly and upgraded us to a king room rather than a queen. The room was clean.
Dated property. They have done some updates, but room was on the small size, shower drained slowly, and the ac/hearing unit needs caulking around it as cold air came in all night. Not a bad place to stay on a budget.

I liked the cheap price.
The tv was hard to control and the shower seemed cheaply made.

All the basic needs are covered... but just barely. It's a cheap hotel that makes no excuses about being a cheap hotel.
There was a crack in the TV screen with visible cables running across the wall. The bathroom was tiny.
