architecture was kind of creepy but very beautiful, host was extremely nice, helpful and genuine. neighborhood was pretty chill with not a lot going on

Easily accessible to subways entrances, local coffee shops, Harlem restaurants, & street festivities

The space is beautiful - tribal art gallery decorations, fresh flowers and vibrant foliage. The host was impeccable with communication and even assisted with last minute extension due to hurricane-related airline delays.

We had a lovely stay at this guesthouse! The location was really nice, in a quiet neighbourhood, but close to a subway station. The room itself was very spacious and decorated really nice. Although we had an unpleasant problem at night (leakage due to heavy rainfal), the owner handled it in a good way and helped us out.

It was everything I could have asked for and more. I will definitely be looking into staying here next time we come back

I loved the decorations and how at home it felt. I loved that the day we checked in, Boothe/Paola gave us clear directions to exactly where we wanted to go. She asked what I wanted to see and do, and made us feel welcome to NYC!!!

Depending on how late you stay up, it may be noisy late at night. There was a concert going on right out front the first night we stayed, which was fine for us but others may have been kept up.

Nice building, not a good enough staff assistance, Harlem well connected but really far from everything.

The building is beautiful all in wood and well decorated. Bed was not flat and not comfortable for me. Lot of pillows but not one good for sleeping, only decorative.

Check in. I arrived at 9 pm tired after an intercontinental flight and found out they gave me a wrong code for the access. 1 hour before someone picked up my call and give me corrected code. No excuses received. Not an hotel but a guest house, but guests must be cared properly.

Fabulous

I loved the decor and the neighbourhood - the house was lovely . Also the provision of a coffee machine, small fridge and microave as great. The fan as on when I arrived

I liked the place, a nice vibe and safe. I really enjoyed the communication with Boothe, it was very smooth and helpful. She kept my reservation even if my card did not work on Booking. I really appreciated this!

The decoration is nice authentic and the lady was very friendly and welcoming.

The room is clean and well equipped, the toilet is large and comfortable. On my return to NYC I will take the same room if it is available.

the Bed was confortable and the location is good.. a couple of streets away from the subway station. It is very warm during the Winter.

The building is old so I could hear the other guests walking around and talking.

Just wonderful

We loved everything from the house itself which is nicely decorated with several art pieces to the room which was cosy, spacious and with a very comfortable bed. Boothe has been a wonderful host which took very good care of us and I cannot thank her enough for her generosity. If you are looking for an experience in an authentic Victorian house then this is definitely the place for you!

Sweet host, unique decoration, quiet place and all necessary luxuries!

The owner is an incredibly sweet woman. While it was cold (-15 degrees Celsius), she lent me her jacket and this, during almost all my stay! As a bonus, she took the time to explain to my companion and me what are the secret routes and paths of New York (including a magnificent mosaic!). As for the room, it is spacious, perfectly heated in winter, cleaned and tidied by the host every day. The room has all the necessary luxuries: bathrobes, teas/coffees, several shower gels with different smells, .... Little extras that really make a difference! The place has a crazy charm with a unique decoration. I travel regularly and this accommodation is one of those that I will not forget.

Although the room is quite small, which was also known in advance and is perfectly understandable for the price and location, I felt very comfortable. It is perfect for solo travelers. The house is lovingly and stylishly furnished, the owner very warm and helpful and the location excellent. Subway station right around the corner so every destination is easy to reach. Would come back every time and recommend everyone to spend their vacation here.

Great Value. Beautiful Town House in Harlem. Super for City Break (20min Subway to Manhattan)!

Unique town house with great decoration and easy to access from instructions provided. Clean, good sized room with warm shower and all the facilities we needed. approx. 5 mins from a Subway station and approx. 20 minutes from Central Manhattan. Host was very friendly, cleaned our room every day. It was very affordable for the time of year (December). Interesting to stay in a different part of New York.

Host moved our suitcases when cleaning room. We have never had that before but it wasn't a problem!

it was in a great location, and it was very quiet in our room, which I loved, and each new room. There was very unique. I’m making it my NYC home away from home.Subway station is a hop skip and a jump away. Can’t wait to go back!

The most comfortable stay I had on my NYC visit

One of the nicest room I've ever stayed in! Spacious, clean, well-maintained, and well-equipped; had all the amenities I needed. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, would definitely recommend and would definitely love to stay here again on my next visit to this city.

Can't think of anything, really. I even like that outdoor shoes are not allowed in room so that should say something about how much I like my stay here. If anything I guess I didn't quite like how short my stay here was, should've been longer!
