We enjoyed our room very much. It was beautiful and very clean and comfortable. We had a cute bed in front of the window overlooking the lake!! We did enjoy our complimentary breakfast. And all the staff was super friendly and accommodating. We would stay here again. We loved our bartender and she made the best triple berry mojito that I’ve ever had! Delicious.
The pork chop dinner was very disappointing. It was like processed lunch meat. Way too much garlic on everything.

Excellent poutine. Nice staff, quality bedding and robes and the room temperature control worked well.
The place is worn out. Clean but undertended to. Carpets need replacing or steam cleaning. Dining room had nice murals but could have been in anywhere. Manager and dinner waitress made a point of that we must go to the fantastic breakfast. Which was a generic hotel buffet. The window seat cushion was super sun bleached. The nightstands had lots of stain damage and need to be refinished. The door was the cheapest hollow door imaginable. The sink did not drain. The baseboards are waning from what looks like too much water exposure. We could only find water access when we asked. Tiles are falling from the main dining room ceiling. We booked based on my 50 years summering in the region and hearing a special reputation for the Friends Lake Inn. The staff and bedding were nice. But in general, it is worn out and in need of TLC.
