Perfect getaway

Two completely separate bedrooms and comfortable seating. It was also very quiet. The decorations were so in keeping with the coast and very tasteful. Also nice to have a kitchen with plenty of crockery and cutlery. A home away from home.

The fake electrical outlet on the wall. Very confusing! It was fine for my son and I bit as there were beds for 6 I think having the toilet in the bathroom and there is only one, might be a bit challenging!

Anchorage Cottages offers a homey stay in Longbeach!

This is our third time coming back to the Anchorage Cottages! We love the space, the staff is friendly and helpful, location is nice, and they have a full kitchen! We had our coffee and breakfast on the deck in the mornings, which was a nice treat. My fave part is the little guest book you could write in. It’s fun to read about other people’s stay over time! I’ve written an entry each time my husband and I have stayed, very fun!

The bed was a bit firm for me, normally sleep with memory foam so I’m used to a soft mattress.

Absolutely LOVED the cottage and location, definitely recommend 10/10

Absolutely loved going to long Beach and staying in the cottage. It was an amazing experience that my family and kids got to enjoy. The games and movies they provide are great for down times like when it started to rain or before bed. Fully equipped with everything you need. I wish it was closer then 6 hours or we would be staying a lot.

Only thing I didn't like was that you get charged for not cleaning dishes, which is fine we only used bowls and spoons for breakfast but whoever was their prior to us didn't clean their dishes right so I cleaned them so I didn't get charged.

Superb

Great place to relax. Warm and cozy thanks to the upgraded fireplace. Well-equipped kitchen with nice fridge. Appreciate the in-room board games and general attention to detail to provide a great stay. Evenings were quiet and peaceful even on a holiday weekend. Nice little market within walking distance. Good on-site parking and a pet-friendly place.

Disappointed to see the increased cleaning fee and on-site recycling is no longer available.

Disappointed.

There was no one there when we arrived at about 4:10pm Friday. We found a sign on the door telling me to call a number and someone would text back. I called and called and texted nothing. We gave up 2 hours later and had to find another place to stay. I finally got a call later in the evening from a lady who worked for the property who acted like it was just ok to make guests wait that long not knowing if they will have a cabin to sleep in for the night or not. It was really cold and windy at the property, we were freezing trying to see if someone was on the property to let us into our cabin, no luck. I had my daughter, granddaughter and pup with me with nowhere to stay. We had to spend money on out to eat dinner vs. eat the food we had brought to cook in our cabin. : ( There were other families waiting too and gave up. It was so disappointing, ruined our day and evening. : (

Poor customer service, no care for their customers. If you have booked customers on a Friday afternoon you should be at the property to greet them, if you are not going to be there plan ahead and share how they can access their cabin.

Wonderful weekend getaway

Location was wonderful, close to attractions (longer walk or very short drive). Trail to the beach was a very welcomed surprise!

I didnt realize the cottages shared walls, also was under the impression when we booked i would be able to leave my dog for a short period of time in her kennel. We werent able to do as many things around town due to this.

Exceptional

So many good things to say about this place! Check in is a breeze and the staff is very friendly. We didn't need anything extra for our stay, but every time we saw someone out and about, they always made sure we were doing good. The property is well kept and clean. They have a small swing set and outdoor games to enjoy. There is a private path to the beach, which is a beautiful walk, though it is a bit of a hike (as are most properties in Long Beach). Inside, the cottages are well maintained, clean, and the kitchen is stocked with all the essentials you may need for cooking. There was a very comfortable assortment of furniture for relaxing on, and a large dining table which worked out really well for board games, as well as eating. We, personally, love being a bit north of town, so the location is excellent for us. It's a little far to walk (unless you like walking), but a short bike or car ride in. There's a gas station just across the main road, so if you need to pop out for something quickly, it's convenient. The beds are memory foam, which we found extremely comfortable, though if you like a firm mattress, you may not like as well. This is our second year staying at Anchorage Cottages, and we will be back.

The only complaint I can think of is that the TV in Cottage 5 is very small, and all the way across the room from the sitting area. Usually, we wouldn't even care, but we do like to watch the football game on Sunday, and this didn't make for a great viewing experience. That being said, it was still nice to be able to watch the game at all from the comfort of our room, and this is really the only negative I can come up with. Oh, and the curtains in the bedroom really only filter light, so if you're a light sleeper, you may want to bring a sleep mask.

It was nice that it was pet friendly. Well stocked. Lots of games and DVDs.

Very clean and quiet. Not in thd maim part of town but still convenient.

The furniture for older people can be challenging. Spotty WiFi.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The cabin was cute and comfortable.

Comfortable bed and living room furniture. Room with books and games available.

Our TV didn't work for the first 3 days until a technician came and gave us the correct remote. While the unit was generally clean, the windows we quite dirty and the floors made our bare feet black.

Would definitely recommend, especially for dog owners.

Very cozy cottage, it had everything we needed, including dishes, toaster, microwave, dog blanket, direct tv…even had a special room to clean seafood. we loved that it was dog friendly and behind the facilities there was a beautiful walk through a little forest that lead to the beach.

A great place to say with family!

I hesitate to write a review because then EVERYONE will go! This was perfect for our family. It was spacious with a big kitchen and plenty of room to let everyone spread out and relax. There was a large lawn area on the back side and easy access to the beach. We loved it! It had everything we needed and we look forward to visiting again soon.

A great time was had by all.

Nice place to stay in Long Beach. It has that old beach lodging vibe. The staff was super helpful. We came for some clamming and they have a nice separate room for cleaning the clams.

The futon couch was not super comfortable.
