El Royale Hotel - Near Universal Studios Hollywood

It was a great stay. Staff was super nice and personable. Was so close to universal so they offered a way to save on parking during check in and they were great during check out as well. Truly felt that they cared that the stay was good and not just basic customer service

My 21 year old daughter and I stayed here when we went for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal in early October. We were able to leave our car there at 2:00 and got the key, just couldn’t enter the room yet, which was fine. We took Lyft to Universal and even with generous tipping both ways, it cost less than parking. The room is older but very clean and comfortable. The only reason I didn’t give a 10 was because there is limited plugs to charge and the USB plug in our room was broken. But it wasn’t a big deal. Before COVID they had more breakfast items, but now very limited, but again, not a big deal for us. I love that they have carports. However, I have a Ford Mach-e so it’s a fairly wide car. Luckily I’m thin so I could squeeze out, but it’s too tight for bigger cars and/or if you are a little bigger. Overall, great place to stay for a night or two. We will be back.

Lack of phone plugs. Replacing lamps with plugs built in would be an easy fix.

Close to universal. Staff was very nice and friendly. Room was super clean and smelled good.

Beds were a little too firm

The proximity to UniversalStudios is good .

You see a picture of these cute cottages but that’s not what you get. There were holes in the wall in the bathroom. The bathroom mirror was broken, no Kleenex tissues, no hair conditioner, very tiny , tiny bars of soap.
