The room was very clean. My wife is somewhat of a germaphobe but was never bothered in this room at all. Room was very quiet, never really noticed any noises from other rooms.

Parking was good, convenient.
It seemed like they put everyone close together, even though there were plenty of spare rooms. No king bed.

I was pleasantly surprised all around. The hotel lobby is simple but very nice. They have a small area where you can buy a fun t-shirt or other hotel related gifts. The offer great coffee in the morning along with yogurt and fruit bars. They also sell beverages. The owners are incredibly friendly and I enjoyed the conversation. My room was on the 2nd floor which was spacious, well appointed and in pristine condition. They take great care of their business and it shows. The location couldn't be any better right across from the old train station and a restaurant. I enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend the Shady Motel. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

The location. You didn’t hear the guests in the rooms next to us. Not sure if you’d hear the people above or not, as we didn’t have anyone staying above us
The street noise got loud, but I’m from somewhere where there isn’t any. Also no hair dryer in the room.
